You need Reports and Stock permissions to create or edit POS links. If you don't have access to this module, ask someone with Managers permission to update your user permissions.

You need to create stock items & recipes before you can create POS item links.

To access head to Stock and then Manage, POS Item Links.
POS links allow you to link the buttons on your tills to recipes or stock items in Loaded, this helps with,

Costing - the POS links page will provide you with a Cost of Goods percentage for each POS item based on the price you sell it at & the stock or recipe cost of the item you're linking it to. (The Price$ is taken from your POS, however, it shows up as a GST excluded value).

Calculated Usage - Links will help generate an accurate calculated usage for stock items in your stocktake usage report.
To get started on linking follow the steps below,

Click on Unlinked Items along the top of the page

You will notice all of the categories on your POS are shown on the left-hand side of the page, if there are any unlinked items within these categories, they will show up once you click on the category name.

Click the category of the item you are wanting to link. The names of the items will match the names you created in your POS, find the item name you are wanting to link

Under the stock item column, you will need to click Not Set and start typing in the stock item you want to link the button to

You will notice once you have selected a stock item the Unit & Quantity will change

Type in the correct unit & quantity, ensuring the unit is consistent with the count/order/yield unit you assigned to the stock item/recipe

Press Save next to the item once all of the details are correct
- The item will now be shown under Linked Items
Editing a POS link
If you need to edit a POS link just find it under linked items and change either the unit or quantity and press Save. If the edit you made was because of an error in the initial link, you can backdate links so that the original error won't cause a variance in your stocktake reports. Click on the POS item name, and enter the date you would like the change to apply from.
