You need Stock permission to create a menu. If you don't have access to this module, ask someone with Managers permission to update your user permissions.

You need to create stock items and recipes before you can create a menu.

It's useful if you have completed your POS links prior to setting up Menus as this will give you a calculated cost of goods on all menu items, however it is not totally necessary as Menus also gives you the ability to enter your predicted sale price.

To access head to Stock and then Manage, Menus.
The menu function is a helpful costing tool to use when updating your menu/specials. After you have added your recipes add them to menus using the following steps

Click Add Menu

Enter the menu name - IE Dinner Summer 2019

Input a menu group - IE Starters, click Ok

Add plated recipes in the Add Menu Item text box

Update the Working Price to the price you’d like to charge for the item

Your working COGS% will update as you change the price, please note the stock price is GST exclusive and the working price you enter should be GST inclusive. You can either rework your recipe or the working price until the COGS% is in line with your COGS target.

Once you’re happy, click Save

You can use the actions dropbox from here to view & edit the menu as well as printing the entire menu or the recipes within the menu
